For example, there is a village nearby that is famous for its handcrafted umbrellas made from oil-paper, a traditional craft that has been passed down through generations of locals.

　　As I began to explore my hometown through English writing, I discovered that there were many more hidden gems waiting to be explored. One of my favorite places is a scenic spot called Shuimo Yangtianxia, which means “waterfall in the clouds.” The waterfall is situated on a mountain, and its cascading waters create a magical mist that shrouds the area, giving the impression of clouds floating in the sky.

　　Another spot that I discovered through English writing is a museum that showcases the history of the silk industry in the area. I was amazed to learn how silk production played an integral role in the development of our town and how our ancestors had perfected the art of making silk fabric.

For example, there is a traditional snack made from sticky rice, pork, and other ingredients that is wrapped in bamboo leaves and steamed. It is called zongzi and is often eaten during the Dragon Boat Festival. Another local specialty is a type of savory pancake made from corn and green onions, which is fried until crispy and served hot.
